Consultant Neurologist

Dr Oliver Charles Cockerell is a consultant neurologist and was trained in London in general medicine and carried out his specialist neurological training at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square. He is currently lead consultant and Associate Clinical Director for Medical Neurosciences at the regional neuroscience centre for London and the East of England at Barts and the Royal London NHS Trust.

Dr Cockerell is a senior staff member of Barts and Royal London Medical College and is active in teaching and research. Currently he holds the post of Senior Lecturer.

His main clinical interests are general neurology, epilepsy, stroke, and headache. Dr Cockerell has an active private practice based in central London and in Herts and Essex. Dr Cockerell's other main area of interest is medico-legal work, both personal injury and medical negligence.
