Fee Structure from 01 October 2011

Dr Cockerell’s fee structure can be found below. This fee structure is not exhaustive, but encompasses all the main fees.

Dr Cockerell’s fees are in line with fees charged by his colleagues throughout London and the United Kingdom.

Please remember that seeing a Private Neurologist is a contract between you and that Doctor. If you have private health insurance then this may reimburse you for the whole or part of that cost, but ultimately it is the patient who is responsible for the fees in line with the contractual arrangement with that Doctor.

Patients who do not have health insurance or who have not obtained a Letter of Guarantee will be required to give credit card details to confirm their appointment. A 50% cancellation charge will be levied if cancellation notice is not received within 24 hours of the appointment.

If there are problems concerning the fees then this should be addressed prior to the consultation or before taking up treatment and this can be discussed both with your insurance company and with Dr Cockerell’s relevant office.

Not included in the fee structure are visits abroad, domiciliary visits or other pro-rata work.

There are no other charges for in-patients, apart from any procedures undertaken. There are no initial charges or top up charges or extras. Day case = single day charge. Patient over one night= Day case or one day.
NOTE Dr Cockerell does not do in-patient work outside London. Visits to patients at Holly House and Rivers under other consults charged as per out-patient fee for that hospital
